Sugar Creek Hollow Sketch Challenge

Happy Saturday morning and Happy Mother's Day weekend to all of you wonderful Moms out there!!
I am so excited as this is my first post as a permanent member of the wonderful DT for Sugar Creek Hollow . There have been some changes at the blog and you can get all of the details there, but Tracy has decided to close her store for the SCH images and turn the blog into a challenge site for vintage, shabby chic and primitive inspired creations. Unless otherwise noted for specific challenges you can now use any image that you want as long as it follows our theme. I know lots of you out there do such wonderful work with this style and I hope you will be inspired by something that I create or one of the design team's projects to join us. This week we are having a sketch challenge.

Doesn't this look like fun? I used Stampin' Up's "Elements of Style" and K&Co Ancestry.com design paper. My ivory card base is textured, so it gave my images a cross stitch and aged look. I love how it turned out and hope you do too!

I am also going to show you another card that I created first with this sketch. Wasn't sure that I was happy with it, so that is why you have the card above, lol ...never satisfied and maybe just a little case of nerves wanting this post to be really good. You will see that I flipped the sketch on this card.

I used a set by Flourishes "Let's Have Tea" on this card. Don't you just love the butterfly? It is from a digital collage sheet of vintage images that I purchased from Sharon at Plumrose Lane that I just love. You will see parts of them on some other cards that I have posted earlier.

OK gals, what are you waiting for? An invitation? Well, you have it.....please stop by at Sugar Creek Hollow and see what the ladies have to show you this week and then create your card for a chance to win one of Tracy's beautiful images for your very own. I will be looking for your name.
I am also entering my card at Papercraft Star : Simon says use your own sketch, you can use any sketch that you want to create this week, just post where you found it.

Blessings to you all and Happy Mother's Day!

Oh Patti these are beautiful cards and an incredibly creative expression of the sketch. I love the bird and the flower as the embellishments on the first one and how you turn the sketch on the second. It looks really good that way. It's so good to have you as a regular part of the DT - though your cards are clearly more than just regular! You know I'm a big fan :) So welcome and congrats!
Hugs,
Sharon :)
