Vintage Vogue and Violet

Hello all, sharing my card using Sketch #8 at Stamplorations

The background was made by stamping and 2nd generation stamping with SU's
Vintage Violet and flowers from Vintage Vogue.
I had a hexagon cut file that I cut the other day in Vintage Violet and it
worked beautifully with the sketch. I stamped a variety of
Thank you stamps- all Stampin' Up on my strips and added
champagne pearls from Want2Scrap.

I stamped two more of the flowers and a sentiment from Gifts
of Kindness on vanilla card stock for the inside.

Well, better get back to the laundry.....have a great week.

A Sweet Thank You....

Rick and I have a dear friend that loves to garden and share her bounty,
so I made these jar tags with her in mind. We have enjoyed
many fresh produce items as well as some of her canned
goodies, so I thought these would be perfect for her.

I used the new set Vegetable Garden as my starting point but also brought in images from Juicy Strawberry (color) and Blackberries . All at Doodle Pantry

I was able to use my Cameo to create these. I brought the images into the software, created my circles with a printed stitch line inside of that. Using the text tool, I made my lines for dates and her name.
All nine of my designs fit on one sheet of white card stock, printing and cutting these took only
a moment. I then took scraps of card stock that matched the colors and cut a slightly larger
circle for backing.

Using one of these clear pillow boxes I was able to fit all of the tags  into
it along with a bit of the raffia (sorry I took the pictures before adding that).
She will be able to either tape or glue these onto the jar lid (an exact fit) or she
can punch a hole and tie to the jar.
I turned the tags so you can see them from both sides of the pillow box.

The Doodle Pantry team is having a design team call until the 24th of March, check out all of the details Here . Also, don't forget this month's challenge is still going on until the 24th as well, you still have time to enter.

Thanks for stopping by....

With Sympathy....

I am trying to fill in the blanks in my card categories and needed
some of the dreaded sympathy cards, so neccesary
but the ones we hate to send out.

After stamping the poppy on the same mustard card stock that I used
for my second layer, I colored it with Spectrum Noir markers,
adding Want2Scrap gems for the center. I stamped
the image on ivory with Versafine Vintage Sepia and
after fussy cutting the colored flower, I used foam
dots to layer it over the image on the ivory die cut.
The butterfly is a die from Heartfelt Creations, I cut
another piece of the mustard card stock as well as
a dictionary page at the same time, using Rusty
Hinge distress ink to add some depth.

I used sketch #301 from Sketch Saturday  as my inspiration.

I am also entering this at Twisted Tuesday Challenges
 -
Don't go near the edge - the twist, use old book,
dictionary or script paper on your project.

I love how quickly this came together and may have to give this
design another go with different stamps.

Thanks for stopping by for a visit.
Happy Day!

Cherry Blossom Time

Don't these colors look bright and cheery?
Especially if you could see the drizzle, fog and clouds out my window
today. Looking for warmer temps tomorrow.

I used this week's freebie from A Day for Daisies to create
my card for Challenge #91  at the ADFD blog.
It is called "Baby Cherry Blossom", I merged it with
an older image "Bird Swing".
I again used the Cameo to trace and cut my images.
The coloring was all done with a water brush
and distress inks except for the background around
the swing which I used a Copic to color.
Love the chevron paper from Echo Park's
So Happy Together collection.

I also want to enter my card into the "Clean and Simple Spring"
Challenge # 187 this week at The Paper Players

Stamplorations Sketch #7

I made a card for Sketch Challenge #7 at Stamplorations  using this fun sketch.

Using the Silhouette Cameo, I cut a floral border at the top and bottom
of a piece of ivory card stock. I then took distress inks in
peeled paint, mustard seed and worn lipstick which I sponged
over the cut border. I used both the negative and positive
parts of my cut, popping the negative up with foam dots.
My image is from an older Stampin' Up set , I colored
it with Spectrum Noir and Distress markers.
I stamped another image from the set in Versafine vintage sepia
for the inside of my card.

I added pearls to the border and butterfly on my tag from Want2Scrap.

If you aren't familiar with this fun challenge site, I hope this
will give you the nudge to go check it out.

Thanks so much for stopping by for a visit!

Sketch Time with Sweet Sketch Wednesday

Hello all.....

I am so happy to be joining in this week's sketch challenge at Sweet Sketch Wednesday 2 and their wonderful sketch for this week which is sponsored by Doodle Pantry
where I have been guest designing with my old team for the past few months. This will be my last month with the team and I will miss working with Laurie's beautiful images. Some of my older followers may remember that I also was on the design team for the original SSW and many of the great ladies that I worked with are still on the team, so it was a joy to use the sketch to create my card for this week.

Be sure to stop by the blog at Sweet Sketch Wednesday 2 to see what the team
has created for your inspiration and enter your card for a chance to win
Doodle Pantry images. Also be sure to enter your card into the
monthly challenge at the Doodle Pantry blog and Challenge #44
for a chance at a store gift certificate and if you use an image from
DP, you will get this month's featured set free.

For my card I used two new sets: Tweet Birdhouses and Tweet Birdhouses
SVG e-cuttable shapes.
I combined the digital papers from the set, using them for my background
papers and for the paper piecing of the birdhouse. I used makers to color
the printed birdhouse. I created the banners in the Cameo which is also
how I cut out the birdhouse and papers. I added flowers which are
a Silhouette cut file along with a punched Martha Stewart butterfly.

I added a flower punch border and another of the butterflies to
the inside of my card.

I am also entering my card into the challenge: Stamps and Spring
at Stamplorations  -- Love this challenge blog!

Hope you can stop by at the above blogs and take a look and join
in the challenges for this week.

Happy day.........

CAS-ing with CAS(E) This Sketch

I am playing with this fun sketch at CAS(E)this Sketch this week.

Using a hexagon cut file,  Doodle Pantry's  Paper Cut Flowers SVG, printed
vellum and a sentiment also from Doodle Pantry
I was able to create this pretty card that will be
a pleasure to send. I love the embossed background
with the softness of the vellum.
Don't you love how beautifully the Cameo cuts such intricate images?

I re sized the hexagon file to make it fit the sketch and it still cut cleanly
and quickly....look at the inside layer of the flowers, such
fine detail! I know, you are tired of hearing me say just
how much I love my Cameo, but I can't help myself!!!!

I am also entering this at the Bloggers Challenge Fabulous Florals Challenge  !

Doodle Pantry's sale ends tonight...don't miss the 30% off sale
on all new releases----Laurie just added 6 more sets
yesterday to this month's line up.
Be sure to check it out.

Have a great rest of your weekend....clocks go forward tonight!

Doodle Pantry Release- SVG's , Images, Papers and More....

I have been so excited for this month's release from Doodle Pantry

You will want to check out the fantastic sets being released, something for everyone.

I am using the new set Northern Outdoors which is a combination of SVG and Silhouettes in PNG and JPEG. I created two cards, one using the SVG files and one that I made a Print and Cut.

For my Christmas card I used different pieces of textured card stock to make my mountains, hill, and forest. I was able to increase the bottom of my tree line so that when I layered
the lighter green border of trees it created a different height in my tree line.
I used clear and white embossing powders for my snow storm, don't you love
the moose peeking out from the pine trees?
My sentiment is part of "Antique Ornaments".

For my print and cut I used digital papers from the new
set Grunge Wood which will be perfect for not only cards using this set but all those masculine cards you may need to create.

I used the paper not only as my background but also as a layer behind
the moose. Don't you love these label frames?
So many uses for these. Never too early to start on
those summer holidays--sentiment from "Swimming Mallard".
I cut two of the trees and ran them through the big shot with
my weave texture panel by Sizzix.
A bit of jute twine and mulberry paper for
accent and my card is ready for that
special Dad.

There are so many wonderful things in this month's release,
please be sure to stop by the store  and check it out.
Use code NEWMARCH30 and get
30% off any of the new sets March 1-8.

Hope you have a great weekend planned,
Happy Day.....
