but I do want to let you know about the sale now going on
at Doodle Pantry .
Now through January 2nd, use code HAVEFUN2014 and
save 40% off everything in the cart (excluding gift
certificates - $2.00 min purchase) and don't
forget there will be a new release of items
on January 1st!

Also from now until January 1st you can go HERE and download
"New Years Birdie" for FREE!

It includes newly colored images plus new digital papers.

Just as a quick note, here are two cards that I made using one of this month's new sets Winter Birthday. I used the outline images and colored them with my Spectrum Noir markers.

I also wanted to show you the tags that I made for my packages this year.

This uses Candy Cane Poem . Using the Cameo software I made
the candy image more transparent so that I could layer the poem
on top, cut the tags, a bit of twine and ready for packages!

I will be guest designing one more month in January, can't
wait to show you what Laurie has come up with for next month!

From me and all of the gang at Doodle Pantry,
Happy New Year!

A Christmas Wish

Silent and Peaceful, this is what I was going for in this Christmas card. The inside
has a very simple: Peace, Joy, Love sentiment and that is what I am wishing
our friends this Christmas. It will be a difficult one as they lost
their 30 something son last Christmas Eve night.
He collapsed during the night and was found the next
morning and to say it was a shock is an understatement.

I love this Pine Grove image from Beccy's Place and love to use
it for different seasons. I added a bit of white gel pen, glue and glitter to add
to the winter feel.
I am entering this at Beccy's Place in their December Challenge - Use a Beccy's Image (Free ones onsite if you don't have one.

I wish each of you a Merry Christmas.
Please take the time to appreciate all of your loved ones, family and friends.
Rick and I will be hosting our family tomorrow and in
our hearts, each of you our online friends.
Love to you all and a healthy and happy New Year.

Christmas Cards galore

Just wanted to share a set of ten Christmas cards that I created using the
Christmas Bird Series at Fred She Said. The Christmas Cardinal and Winter Chickadee. She also has a set of Robins that are on my wish list

These are pretty straight forward so I will let you just take a look.
I used scrap Christmas papers, pieces that I had embossed along with ribbon, punches and gems to decorate. I used a variety of label cut files in my Cameo, dragging and sizing the colored images and cutting them and the mats out with the Cameo.
Just as a heads up, these digital images come in color and outline form.
I took the quick way out as I was making so many and used the colored images.

I am entering at:

Through The Craft Room Door  Anything Goes
Papertake Weekly  Last Christmas Card of the Year

Float your Troubles

Thought that I would show you something besides Christmas cards for a change.....
although I do have a few more of those to post soon.

This was made using the new set "River Raft" released this month at Doodle Pantry.
As with most of Laurie's sets, this contains colored and outline images
as well as digital papers and sentiments.
I used the outline image, coloring it with my Spectrum Noir markers.
I love it with these My Mind's Eye papers.

The sentiment "Let your troubles float away" works so beautifully for
so many reasons.

You still have time to join in this month's challenge at the Doodle Pantry Blog Challenge #41.
You can get this set free just for playing.

Have a wonderful day.

A Layered Tree

I am cutting it a bit close but wanted to enter this card at the Silhouette Blog where the challenge this week is to use a holiday shape. Be sure to stop in for a visit and see the beautiful wreath that Jeana created.

I used digital papers from Doodle Pantry (gingham layer), the other's and the postcard are from The Farmhouse Papers. Love the chipboard fa la la la la pieces.

I used the "5 piece Layered Tree" cut file from Silhouette. Love this file! I printed the full tree and then the layers in the two papers using foam dots to pop them up. I added a piece of corrugated cardboard for my tree trunk.

I also made a matching gift bag using only the full tree form. The mitten tag was made by taking a mitten cut file, mirroring and welding them together.

I love playing with the images in my Cameo and the fantastic way my projects turn out.
Be sure to stop by the blog and see all of the inspirational projects created.

If you don't already own a Cameo, hope Santa sends one your way......

"Merry Deer"- Home Decor

Are you like me and love looking for things that you can alter or use in your crafting?

I found this frame at one of my local consignment stores for only 75 cents....what a find!
I knew as soon as I saw this that it would work beautifully with the set released in November at Doodle Pantry called Merry Deer . Laurie has released this month a SVG cut file Holiday Deer which works with the Merry Deer set as well as an older set Holly Stag .

I had printed my images last month before the release of the new SVG , so I had to trace the beautiful deer making an offset and cutting it with my Silhouette, but so happy to now have the file!

This now has a place in my den----now it is your turn.
Keep an eye out for those treasures or use some that you have stashed.

Ice, No bake cookies and Christmas cards....

As I am posting this on Saturday evening, our forecast is for freezing rain starting after midnight, what is it about the thought of being snuggled up at home with no where or way to go that makes me want to have sweets?????

With that in mind I made a favorite from childhood, No Bake Cookies or as we used to call them
Preacher Cookies, as they were a nice treat for when the pastor came to visit.
Just as good as I remember, look them up on Pinterest if you aren't familiar with them.
You can also fix them without the cocoa and have Peanut Butter No Bake, love those.
I found a recipe on Pinterest for the peanut butter ones and will be sure to try them before the Christmas season is over. Well, I have to have some excuse.......

I am also finishing up with my Christmas cards, are you done?

This is a set of cards that I made using the new set from Doodle Pantry called Winter Critters . My card fronts were done exactly alike with the penguin, tree and sentiment all from the same set, I used the snowflake swirl cut file from Silhouette, I simply turned it into a print and cut using the color picker to match the purple in my cute guy's knit toboggan. I printed extras so that I could fussy cut and pop up the cap. By using two different layering colors and different gems, I gave them a bit of character on their on.

I love the way these turned out, such a fast and simple way to get more of your cards done.

Be sure and stop by at the Doodle Pantry Blog tomorrow as Laurie may just have a surprise in store. Also, for those of you that helped support our fundraiser for Operation Write Home last month, a wonderful $597.00 was raised for them .
Thanks to all of you that bought the sets!

Well, off to fix dinner, hope this finds you warm, safe and enjoying the season.
Hugs........

One more for Doodle Pantry....

Happy Saturday!

I wanted to share a couple more cards that I made using one of my favorite sets from Laurie at
Doodle Pantry. This is a color digi from the set Christ's Gift

For this one, I used one of  the outline images which is also included, coloring it myself.

What beautiful cards these images would also make for those Easter cards!

Doodle Pantry is having an early release for December so that you can take advantage of all the new images in the fabulous Black Friday weekend sale going on where you can save 40% on everything except bundled and fundraiser sets, be sure to check out the bundled set for Operation Write Home if you have not already purchased it, the reduced price goes away tomorrow!

I have used the new set Tropical Drinks   creating a card set for a dear friend. A set of four decorative frame cut files from Silhouette gives me the base and backgrounds for my images. I was able to pull the decorative papers in from the set onto the folders to use on my cards and as a liner for the envelopes.

The magazine holder I made to hold my card set also features the papers. One of the fabulous things about the beautiful sets that Laurie creates is that they usually include outline as well as color images plus digital papers to match and sentiments. What a lot of goodies for a great price and don't forget if you purchase this weekend, an extra 40% off!

I hope you all had a blessed Thanksgiving with lots of time with family and loved ones and loads of good food. Rick and I hosted our families, what a fun day we had.
Enjoy your shopping weekend, I know I am off to surf more online and see what goodies I can find.

Barrels of Fun!

Hey guys, just a quick post this morning to remind you of the fabulous sets created by
Laurie Wilson for Doodle Pantry as a fundraiser for OWH (Operation Write Home) .
I know many of you love creating cards for our troops and would love to have this bundle of
digital images, as they are perfect. As wonderful as they are for our troops and families they
are equally as fabulous for those of us not in service to our country.

Find the OWH Fundraiser Bundle at the store by clicking Here for only $5.00 until the end of the month-be sure to stop by before December 1st when the price will go up.

I am also sharing my card today that I created using the newly released set Wild West Watering Hole . I found a new rope border cut file from Silhouette to use with these fun barrels.

Hope you can check out these fun sets and the team's cards using them at the Doodle Pantry Blog this morning. Have a wonderful day and thanks for stopping by!

In the Meadow.....

Christmas is coming and I am trying really hard to have my cards ready to mail the first of December! Is that what all of you like to do?

I having been posting this month about the month long celebration going on at Beccy's Place where she is sharing a card each day with different challenge themes plus tips and tutorials.
You have to go check it out.
I created this card in response to her button card which you can find Here . I love her card so much and while thinking of it, came up with my idea.

I printed Beccy's "Pine Grove" on a 5 x 7 textured card stock, later trimming it to work with my teal mat. I love the snowman in the shades of teal. My top hat and arms are parts of a Sizzix snowman die.
My sentiment and snowflakes on the inside are from Papertrey Ink.

I am loving the inspiration as I continue to grow my stack of cards. Hope you will
stop by for a visit with Beccy and I know you will be hooked.

Hope you all have a wonderful weekend planned.
Thanks for stopping by.

So Thankful....

Thankful for my Friends and that is you!!!!

I am also thankful to be sharing the beautiful images from Doodle Pantry and this week's sketch from Sweet Sketch Wednesday

I chose to make an A2 sized card for my project using the jug and sentiment from Floral Jug which at the moment is a free with purchase at Doodle Pantry.

This was an image drawn by Laurie for Clear Dollar Stamps and due to the closing of the store
is now sold at Doodle Pantry. It includes two color images, an outline image plus digital pattern and solid papers and the sentiment I used.
I have always loved this image and have owned the outline image for a long time.

I cut the colored image with a Spellbinders Peony die and another one with chocolate card stock, layering both of these with an offset. I also used a retired Stampin' Up punch to make my three
flowers in the chocolate, adding ribbon to each.

Love these Prima "Melody" papers with the colors in the image.

Hope you will check out Sweet Sketch Wednesday and join in both their challenge and the monthly challenge now going on at the Doodle Pantry Blog

Lots of News at Doodle Pantry

Hello all, I am jumping in today to tell you about some wonderful things going on at
Doodle Pantry . Many of you are fans and participate at OWH (Operation Write Home) and as a fundraiser for them Laurie has designed two sets that are perfect for creating cards to send to them or are equally at home for your cards. I know that I can't wait to start using these great images.

From now until the end of November about 70% of the sale of this bundled set will be donated by
Doodle Pantry to OWH and what a perfect day Veteran's Day is to celebrate and help all of our wonderful military that do so much to keep us free.
Here are the sets-only $5.00 for both:

Also don't forget to check out the new release and join in the challenge at the Doodle Pantry Challenge Blog where you can use any image to enter but if you use a DP image you will get this month's featured set free. (lots of freebies at the store if you don't own any yet) .

I couldn't resist sharing a couple of cards today with you using Cozy Gazebo which also comes in color, I used the outline image which I layered with my new favorite set (since I am finding so many ways to use it) Seasonal Swags and to think I haven't even used the summer flowers yet!
I also added the lamps on each side from Vintage Lamppost

My coloring is with Copics and Spectrum Noir with Autumn Flowersoft added .

I also colored one and added the holly swag for Christmas.
You know I can't go a post without another Christmas card, lol,
this one is CAS but love the way it came out.

Now, I won't keep you any longer so that you can go check out all of the happenings.
Have a great week!

Anything Goes-Mo's Digital Pencil

I am such a cat lover...having several of my own that of course I couldn't help falling in love with this adorable image "Santa Cat" from Mo's Digital Pencil

I used the sketch from Deconstructed Sketch and will enter my card there as well as in the challenge at Mo's Digital Challenge where this week's theme is anything goes.

Don't you just love the new Darcie paw print embossing folder that I picked up while shopping on Friday? I can see myself using this a lot in the future.

What a fun sketch to work with.
Here is a closeup:

She was colored with Spectrum Noir markers with a bit of dazzling diamonds added to the cap.

Thanks for stopping by to visit, love hearing from you.
Enjoy the rest of your weekend.

Loving Those Trees!!!

Hello everyone, hope you are enjoying your weekend!

I am sharing my latest Christmas card. I am still joining in at Beccy's Place and her month long holiday card celebration! She is sharing a new card each day along with tips and techniques and lots of chance to win, be sure to check it out!

And I am using her images! Aren't they lovely?  The background is "Pine Forest" with the "Stone Cottage" in front. I used my Silhouette software to trace and detach the "Pine" from it's white background (JPEG) and then copied two more, resizing and placing to create my own pine forest.
My cottage was colored with Spectrum Noir markers. I added Silhouette glitter and Martha Stewart snow to make my cold Winter scene.

My sentiment was created in my Silhouette software with another of the pine tree's added to the corner.

I am also adding my card into the challenge at Craft a Scene where the challenge theme is Trees.

I had so much fun creating this and hope you like it as well.

Enjoy the rest of your weekend!

Oh Yes, it's Another Christmas Card.....

What is up with all the Christmas cards???? Seems like that is all that is on my mind at the moment but that is o.k. as I really what to complete mine and send them out on time this year. I am also on a quest to give them some pops and dimension but at the same time keep them simple to mail.

What a great find in this week's sketch at The Sweetest Thing and their Sunday Sketch Challenge #196. I know I want to save this one and use it again.

I am also entering this into the "Anything Goes" challenge at "Through The Craft Room Door"

After stamping my image which is from Stampin' Up's "Beautiful Season" on watercolor paper I used Prismacolor Pencils to color it and added some of Silhouette's glitter to my berries.
Love their glitter!!

I embossed the panel with Cuttlebug's music folder.

For the inside I used a sentiment from the same set.

Be on the lookout for more cards with this sketch and I hope you will give it a try as well.

Thanks for the visit, I love hearing from you and I am so happy to be back in my stamp room.
Don't know where my mojo has been but so happy it is back.

Happy Day!
