It's a SALE and a FREEBIE!

Good Morning!!

I know you are all busy after what I hope was a wonderful Christmas
but I do want to let you know about the sale now going on
at Doodle Pantry .
Now through January 2nd, use code HAVEFUN2014 and
save 40% off everything in the cart (excluding gift
certificates - $2.00 min purchase) and don't
forget there will be a new release of items
on January 1st!

Also from now until January 1st you can go HERE and download
"New Years Birdie" for FREE!

It includes newly colored images plus new digital papers.

Just as a quick note, here are two cards that I made using one of this month's new sets Winter Birthday. I used the outline images and colored them with my Spectrum Noir markers.

I also wanted to show you the tags that I made for my packages this year.

This uses Candy Cane Poem . Using the Cameo software I made
the candy image more transparent so that I could layer the poem
on top, cut the tags, a bit of twine and ready for packages!

I will be guest designing one more month in January, can't
wait to show you what Laurie has come up with for next month!

From me and all of the gang at Doodle Pantry,
Happy New Year!

A Christmas Wish

Silent and Peaceful, this is what I was going for in this Christmas card. The inside
has a very simple: Peace, Joy, Love sentiment and that is what I am wishing
our friends this Christmas. It will be a difficult one as they lost
their 30 something son last Christmas Eve night.
He collapsed during the night and was found the next
morning and to say it was a shock is an understatement.

I love this Pine Grove image from Beccy's Place and love to use
it for different seasons. I added a bit of white gel pen, glue and glitter to add
to the winter feel.
I am entering this at Beccy's Place in their December Challenge - Use a Beccy's Image (Free ones onsite if you don't have one.

I wish each of you a Merry Christmas.
Please take the time to appreciate all of your loved ones, family and friends.
Rick and I will be hosting our family tomorrow and in
our hearts, each of you our online friends.
Love to you all and a healthy and happy New Year.

Christmas Cards galore

Just wanted to share a set of ten Christmas cards that I created using the
Christmas Bird Series at Fred She Said. The Christmas Cardinal and Winter Chickadee. She also has a set of Robins that are on my wish list

These are pretty straight forward so I will let you just take a look.
I used scrap Christmas papers, pieces that I had embossed along with ribbon, punches and gems to decorate. I used a variety of label cut files in my Cameo, dragging and sizing the colored images and cutting them and the mats out with the Cameo.
Just as a heads up, these digital images come in color and outline form.
I took the quick way out as I was making so many and used the colored images.

I am entering at:

Float your Troubles

Thought that I would show you something besides Christmas cards for a change.....
although I do have a few more of those to post soon.

This was made using the new set "River Raft" released this month at Doodle Pantry.
As with most of Laurie's sets, this contains colored and outline images
as well as digital papers and sentiments.
I used the outline image, coloring it with my Spectrum Noir markers.
I love it with these My Mind's Eye papers.

The sentiment "Let your troubles float away" works so beautifully for
so many reasons.

You still have time to join in this month's challenge at the Doodle Pantry Blog Challenge #41.
You can get this set free just for playing.

Have a wonderful day.

A Layered Tree

I am cutting it a bit close but wanted to enter this card at the Silhouette Blog where the challenge this week is to use a holiday shape. Be sure to stop in for a visit and see the beautiful wreath that Jeana created.

I used digital papers from Doodle Pantry (gingham layer), the other's and the postcard are from The Farmhouse Papers. Love the chipboard fa la la la la pieces.

I used the "5 piece Layered Tree" cut file from Silhouette. Love this file! I printed the full tree and then the layers in the two papers using foam dots to pop them up. I added a piece of corrugated cardboard for my tree trunk.

I also made a matching gift bag using only the full tree form. The mitten tag was made by taking a mitten cut file, mirroring and welding them together.

I love playing with the images in my Cameo and the fantastic way my projects turn out.
Be sure to stop by the blog and see all of the inspirational projects created.

If you don't already own a Cameo, hope Santa sends one your way......

"Merry Deer"- Home Decor

Are you like me and love looking for things that you can alter or use in your crafting?

I found this frame at one of my local consignment stores for only 75 cents....what a find!
I knew as soon as I saw this that it would work beautifully with the set released in November at Doodle Pantry called Merry Deer . Laurie has released this month a SVG cut file Holiday Deer which works with the Merry Deer set as well as an older set Holly Stag .

I had printed my images last month before the release of the new SVG , so I had to trace the beautiful deer making an offset and cutting it with my Silhouette, but so happy to now have the file!

This now has a place in my den----now it is your turn.
Keep an eye out for those treasures or use some that you have stashed.

Ice, No bake cookies and Christmas cards....

As I am posting this on Saturday evening, our forecast is for freezing rain starting after midnight, what is it about the thought of being snuggled up at home with no where or way to go that makes me want to have sweets?????

With that in mind I made a favorite from childhood, No Bake Cookies or as we used to call them
Preacher Cookies, as they were a nice treat for when the pastor came to visit.
Just as good as I remember, look them up on Pinterest if you aren't familiar with them.
You can also fix them without the cocoa and have Peanut Butter No Bake, love those.
I found a recipe on Pinterest for the peanut butter ones and will be sure to try them before the Christmas season is over. Well, I have to have some excuse.......

I am also finishing up with my Christmas cards, are you done?

This is a set of cards that I made using the new set from Doodle Pantry called Winter Critters . My card fronts were done exactly alike with the penguin, tree and sentiment all from the same set, I used the snowflake swirl cut file from Silhouette, I simply turned it into a print and cut using the color picker to match the purple in my cute guy's knit toboggan. I printed extras so that I could fussy cut and pop up the cap. By using two different layering colors and different gems, I gave them a bit of character on their on.

I love the way these turned out, such a fast and simple way to get more of your cards done.

Be sure and stop by at the Doodle Pantry Blog tomorrow as Laurie may just have a surprise in store. Also, for those of you that helped support our fundraiser for Operation Write Home last month, a wonderful $597.00 was raised for them .
Thanks to all of you that bought the sets!

Well, off to fix dinner, hope this finds you warm, safe and enjoying the season.
Hugs........
