Double the Fun!
I am posting two cards this evening and they are both for challenges at StampTV . The first is for the Center Stage Design spot...My favorite movie is Gone With the Wind and we are to make a creation inspired by that. I love the vintage feel, clothing and manners of the era in which it was filmed. I used Nina's set Vintage borders and made two layers on the dp which is from K&Co and called Ancestry.com, how appropriate is that?
I also used my bigz die to punch out several layers of flowers which I distressed and layered. The center is a brad by Making Memories. My sentiment is from the new Masculine Messages by Gina K. I would love to get a card like this and hope whomever I end up giving it to will also.
My second card is for Tina's Color Challenge which is every Monday. This week's colors are black, white and grey. I love this combo and use is quite often. I used Melanie's stamp set A Beautiful Life and stamped it on a grey sheet of card stock by Making Memories. The black and white card stock are by Gina. I then stamped the tulips and butterflies on dp by Making Memories and cut them out so that I could pop dot them over the main image. The black ribbon is another of my finds at The Dollar Tree. This satin ties so well and feels like a dream. I am making this card for our friends daughter who is getting married on Memorial Day week-end. I love the look...guess it's o.k. to give a black wedding card.
