It's Trash to Treasure Saturday at SCH

Today is another Sensational Saturday at Sugar Creek Hollow and it is also the first of the month so that means it is time for another TRASH TO VINTAGE TREASURE challenge. Your vintage card or other paper-crafted project must start with or include one or more items that you would normally throw away. This does not mean paper scraps in your stash but you can use them in addition to your recycled or re-purposed item. Please make sure you add a photo to your blog post of the throw-away item(s) you have used so we can see how your creativity began.

So to show you....from this

to this:

You may be able to see that this actually ended up in my trash, see the water stain in the back of the packaging? Then it hit me what a great project starter! I decided to create a Get Well Package. It contains some Kleenex, alka seltzer, tea bags and cough drops. I opened up the box and glued my dp to it before rescoring and retaping the box. My trim is some that I got on clearance and I think it looks just right on this. I also turned the paper over and used the purple side inside of the box, although I am not sure you can see that from my picture. It is the same as my backer for the sentiment.

We will be choosing a random winner who will receive a digi of our choice and the Design Team will select a Card of the Week.

Be sure and head on over to Sugar Creek Hollow and take a look around and I hope you will recycle something into a treasure for our challenge this week.

Our designers have been digging through their recycling bins and transformed some great items into wonderful treasures for your inspiration. To get more details and see what they used, just click on their name and you will be taken directly to their blog.

Thanks for stopping by.....

Oh my gosh, Patti - we so think alike! My DH thinks I'm totally off my rocker! What a great project - very pretty too. Thanks for sharing, and have a great weekend :)

This is absolutely adorable! Your box is such a fun shape. This is really going to cheer someone up! Thanks for all of your well wishes lately. They've meant a lot. Town is still a complete disaster. Our local dump normally takes in 3 tons of trash per day. Every day since the flood they've averaged 21 tons per day. People still aren't close to being finished with clean up. They are all recovering though.

Patti,
I don't know how you got from that to a beautiful project. I'm very bad at trash to treasure. First of all I throw everything away LOL. Second I just can't get by the fact that it should be trash, but you make it look beautiful. :)
