Yeah, Stamp Fairy at SSW

Happy Wednesday, have you all had a wonderful week so far? I am starting to paint now in my guest room/bathroom redo and it has been a busy two weeks. We have a friend doing the carpentry work on our redone closets and all of the new crown molding, etc. and after removing the wallpaper, we had another friend do our sheet rock work. That part is now finished and I am able to start painting. I cannot wait to be finished and straighten the rest of my house that now holds everything we have moved out of these two rooms, lol.

Sorry to be so long winded as I am sure you are here to see what we are up to this week at Sweet Sketch Wednesday . We have a fun sketch, but then they all are don't you think?

And we are so happy to have Stamp Fairy as our sponsor for this week. The Grand Prize winner of this week's challenge will get a $10 gift certificate. Be sure and leave a comment at SSW to be eligible.

I used the image Linda Spring 1 for my card and also picked up a couple of freebies that they have available (the flower and spring sentiment). Using Prismacolor pencils and oms to color her and Making Memories papers from Boho Chic and buttons, I love this color palette. So much fun! Thanks for the wonderful images....we really appreciate their sponsorship.

Congrats to all of last week's winners and players, we are so inspired by the work that you do for our sketch challenge each week. If you have never tried playing along, please do....we would love to have you.

Well off to paint some more, thanks for stopping by!

Release Day at Doodle Pantry

It's May Day and the start of this month's release at Doodle Pantry where Laurie's talent is showcased beautifully in the new sets being released. We have something for everyone. The specials this month are not to be beat and you can check them all out here . I am featuring the new set "Dream Catcher". I chose two of the sentiments of the five that comes with the dream catcher image. You just cannot beat the value in all of the sets at Doodle Pantry.

I think this would make a fabulous graduation card for that male on your list.

As always there is a free with purchase set, this month it is a perfect one for all the men in your life "Man Stuff" and available until the 24th of May but this month to celebrate  National Pet Week which is May 6-13th we are offering an additional set "Dizzy Dachshund" and I have made a card using this adorable image. It comes in color and outline images, along with several sentiments and papers.

This set is available until May 13th, so don't wait! I knew just what I wanted to do with this one. Some of my regular readers may remember when we lost a dear friend to cancer back in November. She had just adopted a miniature dachshund that she named Murphy and Rick and I kept her during the funeral for about a week. Well since then she has wrapped the husband around her little paw.....everything is about Murphy. He usually eats dinner with us one night a week on the way home from his job as a teacher at the local high school and it always ends with.....need to go, Murphy will be waiting on me. I will send this to him and I know he will love it.

Hope you have enjoyed seeing two of the new items and there are so many more wonderful ones now available in the store. Stop by and check out what the rest of the team has done with them. We also have a new challenge starting midday and the new set "Scuba Sheep"  will be sent to all that participate in it....but that is the only way to get it until after the 24th....so be sure and enter. We also have lots of items in the Digi Grab Bag at 30% off until the 13th to also celebrate National Pet Week.

You know you want to go shopping and get a bargain....so off you go.
Thanks for stopping in!

One Layer Cards

I am showing you two more cards that I created using Doodle Pantry images. The first is from Christ's Gift . I love the simplicity of this sympathy card. The cross turned out just the way I wanted and I hope you like it also. For my second card, I have used Laurie's Forget me nots which are coming out next month in color, but shh, you didn't hear it from me.

I used Prismacolor pencils and oms to color both of these and simply added some gems to the flower centers. My Friends Forever sentiment is also from the same set, I added a shadow in word before printing out.

For beautiful, simple and quick cards you just can't beat Doodle Pantry. The value and choices in the sets is fabulous and we have a wonderful release starting in the morning....Tuesday May 1st! Be sure and keep an eye out for the goodies on the way.

Thanks for stopping in....happy day!

Doodle Pantry.....

Happy Sunday.....hope your day is going wonderfully! I am still trying to get caught up with having my computer back and my design team obligations. I hate the feeling of  being behind and out of control as I am sure you do.

This is a card that I created a couple of weeks ago and at the time I had a couple of challenges to go with it but alas those have long passed. This uses Laurie's image from Cute Kitten , you can find it through the link and many more wonderful things at Doodle Pantry . The sentiment is also part of the same set. I simply used a base of Stampin' Up so saffron and layered coordinating papers from my scrap folder which I had embossed with a Tim Holtz folder. I angled the papers, used foam dots to pop my image square and added a piece of grosgrain ribbon and I was finished. We used to have a neighborhood cat that looked just like this one, he loved hanging out on our deck and looking in the door at our kitties.

I have a couple of other cards to show you in another post from Doodle Pantry....hope you are looking forward to the new release! It comes out on Tuesday the first of May!

Now if you are browsing and looking for wonderful deals on digital images....take a minute and check out the store at Doodle Pantry.

Thanks for stopping by.

Sketch 151 with Bugaboo

In case you are wondering, I am still not up with my computer. I have figured out that I could copy my picture for Sweet Sketch Wednesday from our team group, but I am unable to load any other pictures or info since I am using the library's computer still. I hope to be able to go back for this post and my Sugar Creek Hollow post and give you some more pictures and info as soon as my computer is back home.

I hope you will stop by SSW and take a look at this week's sketch and go by this week's sponsor Bugaboo and check out their wonderful stamps....I am using Jodie's daughter- Skye's pencil drawing this week "Skye Pencil Pics-Pansies" which you can find  here .
Isn't it beautiful????
I apologize again for such short and uninformative posts and hope to be back to normal soon.
Please join us this week for our challenge as the Grand Prize winner will get 7 of Jodie's beautiful images.....don't forget to leave a comment at SSW to be eligible.

Fancy Folds at Sugar Creek Holllow....

Wow, what a week......
I want to apologize to anyone that has stopped by to see my card for this week at Sugar Creek Hollow.....I am still waiting on my computer to be repaired and it looks as if it may be Wednesday now before I have it back and that is said with fingers crossed and a big prayer. I have a memory part that went bad and the repair shop did not carry that particular one for my computer. Even though I cannot really afford it , we may be computer shopping soon for a second laptop as this past month of problems is way too much stress! I will admit that I am addicted to spending time on the internet and with all of you and I miss you so much.

I am on the local library's computer at the moment and of course cannot upload any of my pictures of my card. I am so disappointed as I love this Mother's Day card and wanted to show you the inside of my easel card.

I got the idea after finding these beautiful images at Lilac and Lavender. I hope if you are interested that you will go back to an older post of mine and look up her blog and the papers that I used. I promise to upload and do another post as soon as I can.

I am stripping wall paper from my MIL's bedroom and redecorating it back into a guest room.....will have pictures when finished.

Take care everyone and thanks for understanding......hope to see you soon.

My first Mother's Day card for this year....and what a fabulous set of stamps from Digi Stamp Boutique to create with, don't you just love this image and sentiment from their new set, "Mother's Day" which includes the vase of flowers and 6 sentiments....such a value. They are our sponsor for this week's challenge using this fantastic sketch from Arlana. Thanks so much Sally Ann!

The Grand Prize winner will receive 6 of Sally Ann's beautiful images and a badge from Sweet Sketch Wednesday and please don't forget to leave a comment at SSW to be eligible.

I colored using a copics, Stampin' Up baja breeze, blue bayou and distress inks. I have been hanging on to this beautiful pleated ribbon for a while and decided this was the special card to cut it for....do you do that? buy something and then hate to use it?

Digi Doodles Shop at SSW!

Hi everyone, I am so excited for this week's challenge at Sweet Sketch Wednesday , not only is it my turn to host/post at the blog, but we have Digi Doodle Shop as our sponsor this week. After having them as a sponsor sometime last year and discovering their beautiful images, I became a huge fan! I have purchased several of their designs and I always love creating with them. Let me show you a bit about them in their own words:

Digi Doodle Shop

Digi Doodle Shop is the results of a mother and daughter’s love for the arts and crafts. It was started a little over 3 years ago with a little more than 100 stamps, and has since then grown to almost 500 stamps. Joy (the mother of this team) designs realistic images, while Judy (aka/daughter) loves the “fun side of life”, and create images with a cartoon flair. Having these two complimenting styles have enabled

Digi Doodle Shop to offer a wide variety of stamps.

It is a real honor and pleasure to sponsor this challenge, and we look forward to seeing all the amazing creations. We thank the design team for their incredible creations, and wish all the participants the very best of luck in this challenge.

Thank you so much for having us, and again the very best of luck to all of you.

Sincerely,

Judy and Joy

Our Grand Prize winner will get a $10 gift certificate to their store, so be sure and join us this week and after linking your card, please leave a comment on SSW so that your entry is eligible.
