A Nap for Autumn

Hello friends!

Are you familiar with Sassy Cheryl's digital images?

I first discovered Cheryl's images while designing at Sweet Sketch Wednesday and fell in love with her unique designs. She features such a great variety of characters in her designs.

I recently went shopping at Sassy Cheryl's (She even has a bargain bin) and picked up some new images. I printed this cutie out the other day and colored her with distress inks and spectrum noir markers. You can find "Nature Nap Girl" here for only 50 cents...can you believe that?

I am entering my card at Sassy Cheryl's challenge blog where the theme this week is Fall
and at The Sweet Stop where I found this great sketch that inspired me.

This image reminds me of what I love about Autumn...the ability to enjoy sitting outside in the cooler temperatures and maybe even taking a cat nap myself, clear blue skies and the last of summer flowers. I love the peaceful feel to Nature Nap Girl.

Thanks for the visit and I hope you will check out both of these great sites.

Card details:

Other: Spellbinders circle and scallop rectangle dies, Martha Stewart oak leaf punch, Stampin Up linen thread and square punch, sentiment from SU Noteworthy set, Papertrey Ink buttons

The Sweet Stop and Gingerloft

Have all of you checked out the great sketches being created at The Sweet Stop ? I just recently found their blog and love to see what they come up with each week, always inspiring.

I am saving these in a folder on my computer and know that I will come back to them again in the future. Hope you have time to stop by and play this week.

For my card, I used some Stampin' Up certainly celery card stock and design series papers that I have had for  a while.  This adorable tire swing and sentiment, I just bought this week from a company that I found at CDAC called Gingerloft . I love this image as it reminds me of my childhood and swinging on a tire at my Grandpa's. I just knew when I saw it that it would look great with some Flowersoft. Hope you will check both of these sites out soon, if you don't already.

Hope your week has been going well, I am on my way to Walmart to get some supplies, but hope to be back soon with another card. Hope you can keep an eye out for me later in the day.

Buttons,Buttons and a Sketch

Happy Tuesday....trying to get a few cards done before Rick and I take off to Pennsylvania for a couple of days so please bear with me as I will have a couple of posts coming today and tomorrow.
This one is for a couple of challenges, the first one is at the Doodle Pantry where we are to use a DP image and buttons, then my sketch for this card is from The Sweet Stop .

I just love this kitty, look at that sweet facial expression. It is called " Kitty Bouquet" and it includes a couple of different kitties with flowers and lots of sentiments. I used a piece of SU card stock and I am sorry that I am not sure of the name, I paired it with double sided paper from K&Co Ancestry.com and textured paper from Best Occasions. I colored the kitty with my prismas and the flowers with SU markers. My buttons are from GinaK Designs with DMC floss. My inside is just a "Thank You" sentiment. I made this for the wonderful lady that we have to cat sit for us....she is a dream! Very reliable and so good with our fur babies. Thanks for taking a look and please leave me a comment if you have time.

My First "Collage" Card

While visiting with my friend Olga at her blog the other day I saw where she had entered a lovely card at a site called The Sweet Stop and I fell in love with their sketch for this week and just had to give it a try.

In addition to the sketch they asked you to add something winged to your card.
I had also been at     Mark's Finest Papers where they are having a challenge to create a collage card. I decided to give that a try as well and combine the two into my card. I love these new items that I have from Pink Paislee, I used some of the paper, the clear stamps and a butterfly from the ephemera package. My dotted dp as well as the green layered background piece is by DCWV- Mariposa. I used SU baja breeze, mellow moss and creamy caramel as my inks, as I wanted to keep it light.

I hope you enjoy this and will check out these two sites and play along with their challenges. Thanks Olga for pointing the way. Happy Day to you all!
