Quiet Rocker

I want to thank all of you that have joined us this month for Doodle Pantry Digital Challenge #43 , there are just a few more hours to get a card entered, so if you are quick you may just have time to get this month's featured set free and be in the running for a store gift certificate if you use a DP image.

My card today uses this month's re released set "Quiet Rocking Chair". This has long been a
favorite set of mine created by Laurie. Click here and take a look at all of the beautiful elements included: papers, sentiments, images (outline and color) all for one price.

I was able to make a shape card with the rocking chair in the Cameo software by
mirroring the chair and then creating an offset for a base. The chair was traced
and cut --afterwards coloring using Spectrum Noir markers.

In the Cameo I cut another chair outline from the trace, adding a sentiment from the same set.

You won't see a lot of shape cards in my stash but this one
was a blast to create and very simple.

I am also entering this at:

Always Something Creative- Special Card Form

I cannot tell you any particulars, but you want to be sure
and check out the release March 1st for Doodle Pantry.
Gorgeous........can't wait to show you!

Another Christmas Card for my Stash

This card was so much fun to make, I am trying to make a few
Christmas cards each month for this coming year.
So far, so good.

I am entering this at Challenge #200 at One Stitch at a Time   - Use a Digi.
This one is "Christmas Candles" by Delicious Doodles and can be found Here .

I realized after looking through the store Stitchy Bear Stamps that I did own some of the designers stamps, however like always there are many more there that I would love to own and play with.

The image was traced and cut using the Silhouette Cameo along with the circle for my window out of  Martha Stewart paper pad design paper. I love the way you can use the Cameo software to complement designs using digital images.
The image was colored using Spectrum Noir markers and a Sakura stardust pen.
Pearls to accent the centers, a sentiment and ribbon and one more for my box.

I was so happy to find a couple more places this week to share my card:

My Perfect Life Festive 48-Week 6 She is challenging herself and us to create a card each week.

Sparkles Christmas Challenge - Anything Goes --Happy Anniversary to them, celebrating 3 years!

So how about joining me at these great blogs and getting a head start if you
haven't already......
Thanks for the visit.

Looking for Spring

Good morning!
Are you like me, looking for Spring? I hate to wish my days away as they
are going fast enough as is, but I love the thought of green grass,
birds singing and flowers.

I am using this great sketch from CAS(E) this Sketch

I used the newly released sets Tulip Wreath and New Butterfly from Doodle Pantry
This is a gorgeous set of flowers with the wreath in many color ways.
I used the multi color one but it also comes in several monochromatic
colors as well as outline if you like to color yourself.
I love coloring but decided to use the pre colored one on my card adding
two of the gorgeous butterflies layered together with a foam dot and
a pink gem. There is also Sakura stardust added to the tulips.
I wish you could see better in my photo the way the eggplant
purple really makes the purples pop in the wreath.

I am also entering this at: Stampin' for the Weekend - Flower Power
Be sure to check out the DT projects as there are some gorgeous inspiration samples

Here's wishing you warm breezes and sunny skies and if not
at least the hope for them soon.
Thanks for stopping by......

Sweet Hope

Friday, yeah. The weekend is here, hope you have a great one planned.

I am sharing my card that I created using the great color challenge this week
at Pals Paper Arts  ,I love pinks and gray.

I am using Doodle Pantry's set Hydrangea which was released this month.
You have one more day to stop by and take advantage of the 30% off sale
on all newly released sets.

I used the Blushing Bride as my card base and to back the flowers. The design
paper is from the same digital set as the flowers. I brought the hydrangea into
my Cameo software, traced, re-sized and cut them to mount with foam dots.
I added small pink gems by Want2Scrap in some of the flower centers, adding
Sakura glaze to others.

Be sure to stop by at Pals Paper Arts and see the lovely samples
created by their team.

The DPDC43 can be found Here . Stop by to see the set you can get free just for entering with a Doodle Pantry image, however if you don't have one, you can also enter with any image for a chance to win
a gift certificate to the store.  Plus, check out the freebies in the store as well.

Thanks for stopping by, hope you can leave me a comment so that I know you were here.
hugs....Happy Weekend.

Can't Decide....

Ever have those days when you have more than one idea for a card and just can't decide which way to go? Well, this is one of those days so I made both.....

Using this sketch from Cardabilities Sketch #92 :

I am having a blast playing in my craft room lately, sure am glad my mojo returned {grin}!

I am also playing along with a new challenge that just started this week Craft Hoarders Anonymous Challenge Blog Challenge #1- What's your style?

My style? what a great question? I am not really sure, I think like my decorating style I am a bit eclectic. I love traditional along with antiques and you may even see something a bit modern thrown in at my home and my card designs follow suit. I love creating vintage cards but at the same time a beautiful CAS design calls my name. I do love layers, whether from papers, elements, ribbon or dies...you will usually find some or all of these on my creations. I love creating hybrid cards. Nothing makes me happier than playing around with digital images in my designs.

For this card, I did a direct to paper inking using Distress stain in peeled paint and broken china.
After I let this dry completely I ran it through my printer. I had laid out this beautiful floral image and sentiment ( freebies from Paulette at Create with TLC ) in my Cameo software. My fence is also a cut file from the Silhouette store. I made my fence sign with SU's window word punch and teal wire that I have had since starting this crazy journey. I used a Sizzlet little leaves die, a button from Papertrey Ink and my small butterfly is from SU's "Collage Curios" set. Another fave of mine is sparkle from Stickles, which I used here in Crystal or shine from a Sakura glaze pen.

My inside image is a two step stamp from SU's set "Simply Soft"
in peeled paint and broken china.

I love how this next card turned out as well. The gorgeous Letter and Flowers image which I used
in outline also comes in color if you don't love to color your own images. It can be found at Diane's Daydream Designs. I used Spectrum Noir markers along with distress ink on the envelope. The flecks of color come from Tattered Angel glimmer mist which I have owned for ions and sad to say have only used a couple of times, I am striving to use more of my things this year and why I am so excited to find the Craft Hoarders blog, I bet you have things you haven't touched in quite a while...
My design papers are "Candy Lane" by Kaisercraft, I love the  scallop border that is also part of this paper pad. I made my own banner by hand adding a half inch circle punched flower from the same papers along with SU white twine and a doily that was a gift from a friend.

I couldn't resist adding some more stickles to the flowers.

I kept the inside very simple with a birthday sentiment from the set "Well Scripted" by SU.

Sorry to have such a busy post today but wanted to share....hope this will tempt you to share as well. Be sure to visit both of these blogs and see what they are all about, bet you will want to play along.

hugs....

A Neutral Christmas...

Last week I shared a Christmas card that I made at a new challenge
site for me, Festive Friday - this week their Challenge #24 is inspired by this beautiful photo:

The pine cone silver ornaments just jumped out at me, love the vintage silver color!
I also loved the rustic elements, twine, wood and the textures.

As soon, as I saw the new inspiration card (this week created by new
team member, Vicki Dutcher) at Muse Challenge #53  it all started to come together.

Vicki's Card:

I love Vicki's color palette, I am a neutral gal myself and loved these tones.

I used silver metallic paper from DCWV, design paper from Creative Imaginations "Bird Songs"
Papertrey Ink white card stock and Gina K Designs Gray.
Looks like I didn't want to leave anyone out, {grin}
For texture, there is burlap ribbon, embossing (with the script folder as an ode
to Vicki's text paper)
and my layered snowflake punch.
I love my ornament which is by Justrite, I stamped it using a silver ink dauber,
I have had those for some time and I am just getting around to using
them, can you relate?
Adding the clear gems gives it that touch of bling in Festive Friday's
inspiration photo, don't you love those snowflake ornaments?

So happy I could play with both challenges again this week,
won't you join me?

Doodle Pantry Release Time....

Happy Saturday, I am so excited to show you what I created with some of the
new releases from Doodle Pantry this month. You are going to love what Laurie has created as well as releasing with new colors and papers some of the sets she created in the past for CDS.

My card above uses images from the new sets Tree Glee 2 and Wagon Hellos 2 (snowball piles)

Wagon Hellos 2                               Tree Glee 2

I also made a gift bag, on this I used Papertrey Ink snow dies along with more of the glitter
snowflakes, this time in the navy glitter paper.

I also used the set Jesus Hands to create an Easter card and tags for Easter gifts. I used the image that features the brown robe but it comes it more colors. I love this set so very much and can't wait to make more things using it. For my card I printed the sentiment and His hands on design paper adding the crown thorn image from DP's set Holy Land Flowers Color 1 . Laurie's
Holy Land Flower sets (there are 3 of them) have long been my favorites!
I used the top note die (imported from MDS to Cameo) and re sized it.
I added a layer in chocolate brown over the royal color design paper (Moulin Rouge-Prima)

Jesus Hands

I also created a couple of tags.
This one uses the same design paper as my card along with another camel thorn flower.
I increased the transparency of the flower so that my sentiment would show up better.

This tag I did as a print and cut using one of the design papers from the "Jesus Hands" set.

I can't wait for you to see all the new goodies, so head over to the store.
When you click on the set, you will see samples from all of the team---
