Shabby Tea Room and Play Date Cafe Card
Well back for another posting for the challenge at The Shabby Tea Room this week and I realized it fit in with the colors at Play Date Cafe and their challenge #27. The challenge at PDC was to use light green and blue with cream and TSTR had an inspiration picture up this week. Please check out both of these sites. The ladies are super nice and the challenges are so much fun each week. On this card I used Stampin' Up sage shadow and bliss blue. I punched squares and then hand stitched along the lines. The image is a retired one from SU called Garden Collage. I embossed it with black embossing powder and colored the butterfly with the same colors as card stock. The shimmer is from Ranger stickles in Diamond. Thanks for taking the time to visit and please leave a comment if you have time.

Card for Color Throwdown #90 and Isabella's Sketchbook
For the first time ever I have combined two challenges into one card. I have been playing for a while at The Color Throwdown . This week's challenge #90 was to use Barely Banana, Rich Razzleberry, Old Olive and Pale Plum. I used some dp from Basic Grey -Eva to cut out the flower petals for my image that I found at the second site my card is for Isabella's challenge . She sells digital images, but this one is a freebie and you can pick it up now. I love her art work and will definitely be back. I printed the image twice, once on Gina K designs 120lb heavyweight card stock and again on the dp. I cut it out and layered the cut outs after coloring in with old olive and pale plum. I sponged barely banana over the entire image. I love how this came out and appreciate the colors and the image from my challenge sites. Hope you like!

There's Magic in the Air challenge
I found a new challenge site at There's Magic in the Air . You download a digital image to play, and this week it is Easter lilies. I love this image. My base is Stampin' Up Garden Green and then I layered an embossed image with my Cuttlebug Script folder on pink passion. The image was colored with SU markers, pretty in pink, positively pink and certainly celery after I cut it out with my rectangle nestie. Please check out this site. I believe you will love playing! Thanks for looking and have a great night.
Stamping 411 sketch card
I found a new site to me called Stamping 411 and decided to post a card for this week's sketch challenge. I also used my first digital image on a card and I got it from There's Magic in the Air . These Easter Lilies were so pretty and I loved coloring them. My dp is from a paper pack by Basic Grey--EVA. I colored the image with Stampin' Up's markers--barely banana, so saffron and certainly celery. This was a fun sketch, but you have to upload before 8am EST tomorrow, so hurry on over and play along! TFL.

The Color Throwdown #89
My second post this morning, but I need to get this card linked for the color challenge at The Color Throwdown .
Stampin' Up's colors almost amethyst, sage shadow and bordering blue were the selections this week. I like these colors together... I embossed on the almost amethyst after layering it on the base of bordering blue. I stamped the butterfly from SU's set Measure of a Life and used pop dots to elevate it above the other layers. Thanks for taking a look and please come back!
Pal's Paper Arts "Kiss" Card
The challenge at Pal's Paper Arts this week was a "KISS" card. Keep it simple, sweetie. I decided to use an older set of mine that I still love...it is The Art of Life by Stampin' Up. I had some leftover paper out from another project, so I decided to use the Very Vanilla as my base and the sage shadow, both card stocks from SU. I embossed one piece of the sage shadow with the distressed image and then sponged sage shadow ink on it. The images were then stamped again with sage shadow and sponged and then layered on a piece of very vanilla. I love this card and will definitely use this layout again. With the solid images it was super fast to put together and I think it would look great with other colors and stamps. Hope every ones week it starting out well and will see you again soon, I hope.

Picture Perfect Creations Color Combo #9
I am almost late in posting my creation for this week's color combo challenge at Picture Perfect Creations .
We were to use Stampin' Up brilliant blue, bashful blue, whisper white and garden green.
I used all of the above colors in card stock and used SU Natural Beauty's beautiful images. The ink was brilliant blue and garden green. I used the SU ticket punch to accent the piece behind the butterfly and a Labels 4 Nestie behind the flower. The leaves are from a sizzlets little leaves. I loved how these colors worked together and will probably use these again.
StampTV Release Party Challenges
Wonderful Sunday to All!
I had company all day yesterday and didn't get to post anything, but I have finally gotten my challenges from the release party uploaded and thought I would show them here. If you have already seen them at StampTV you may not want to be bored with a repeat.
Lee's challenge was to use the colors Turquoise Sea, Lemon drop and a neutral. Since I do not have the Turquoise Sea yet ( in my order on the way!) I used tempting turquoise from stampin' up and lemon drop along with gkd's black. I stamped the flower from GKD's Elegant Flowers (thumping) and mounted the sentiment on Nesties Labels 4. The ribbon is from the Spring Mix kit.
My next project is in response to Erika's challenge to create a box using a template that she supplied. I changed mine up a little by wrapping my bow around the box and decorating the top of the box. I punched out two of the flowers in the dp by Martha Stewart and one in green and after distressing them layered and fluffed them to create a flower. The image is from GKD's Elegant Flowers. This was a quick and easy box to make...will have to put that in my save book for the future.
My final card for the release challenges is a sketch card for Theresa...I used her set Life is Good, which is one of my favorites from Gina K designs. I used Gina's rocket red, tan leather and black card stock.
Thanks for taking the time to visit and I appreciate all your comments, if you have time.

Shabby Tea Room (2)
Good morning!
Still rubbing my eyes....but I wanted to post this picture of my submission for the challenge at The Shabby Tea Room Week #6. This is my second time playing with them and I love their style and inspirations. I placed my interpretation of the sketch this week on the horizontal instead of the vertical. I used card stock from K&Co's Journey pack layered on very vanilla from SU. I distressed all the pieces with Versafine Vintage Sepia Ink and stamped images from Antique Collectibles and Simple Friendships by SU. The flower was made by running the best blossoms bigz die through my new favorite toy The Big Shot. I then inked and layered all the pieces finishing with a Making Memories brad.
I hope everyone is looking forward to a wonderful week-end!

Olga's stamp club card
I wanted to post the card that I made last night at Olga's stamp club meet. We were to make a tri shutter card and the base that we were supplied was blue and the only dp paper that I had with me was this square multicolor that I am not sure of the brand. I cut the pieces to layer and stamped birthday images from the Stampin' Up set Let's Party and a sentiment from the SU Heard from the Heart. The flower was made by punching 3 of the SU oval scallops and then crumpling and distressing. I placed a brad through the center of all 3 and pulled them up tight and then pulled down until I got the look I was after.
This is a picture of the card closed.
Olga gave me another surprise today and awarded me with a sweet blogger award.
I have so enjoyed getting to know her and I appreciate all the help that she has been to me.
Have a great evening everyone!
Good Wednesday to All!!
Good morning to everyone....I have a card today that I created for the Monday color challenge at StampTV. If you have not ever been there please check it out here. The colors this week are ocean mist and tan. I didn't think I had any of the ocean mist but it is in the spring card stock assortment at Gina K. I tried a couple of these tri shutter cards during Christmas and haven't made any since. I decided to make one for this challenge after my friend Olga invited me to her stamp club and told me that would be our project last night.
This is the card open. I used versamark ink to stamp the butterflies and the bird and sentiment are from the Spring Mix stamp set and the inside sentiment is from the new Friends stamp set. I colored the bird image using barely banana, mellow moss and baja breeze from Stampin' Up. The twill ribbon is also from SU and the button is from GinaK's neutral buttons.
I hope everyone is having a great week and would love to hear from you!

StampTV Thursday Sketch Challenge
Good morning everyone!
I wanted to post a card that I made for the Thursday Sketch challenge at StampTV. It is always lots of fun and Vicki does a wonderful job moderating this for us.
I used the stamp sets by Gina K, Friends and Autumn Beauty. I cut out 3 circles with my Nesties and stamped and colored the images after sponging SU Bordering Blue. The dp is by Sonnets and called Celery Wash. I used a Fiskars Punch to make my border in Whisper White. It was all layered on a base of Always Artichoke.

Picture Perfect Creations Card
I created a card for this week's PPC challenge. The colors were melon mambo, pumpkin pie, bashful blue and garden green. I didn't have the melon but tried to come as close as I could. The designer paper is from Miss Elizabeth's and I punched the flowers with my scalloped square punch from Stampin' Up and popped them up on stems stamped from the SU set Painted Garden. The sentiment is from Friends by Gina K designs. I used SU garden green for my ink and pierced the corners. Thanks for looking.
Pal's Paper Arts Challenge
Hope you are having a glorious week-end. It is truly spring here in southwest VA and I am loving every minute of it. The trees are in full bloom and the light shades of green in the trees are enough to make my heart soar.
My card today is for the sketch challenge at Pal's Paper Arts. I bought a new pack of paper from K&Co. the other day and decided to use it along with making another of the paper flowers that I showed you on a card yesterday. I layered the double sided paper along with black card stock from SU. The sentiment and frame are from Vintage Labels by SU and the butterfly is from A Beautiful Life by GKD. On the inside I layered another piece of the ivory and stamped images from SU's Vintage Vogue. I love how this came together and I have a friends wedding next month and I think she will love it also.

Challenge Cards
Happy Saturday to all!
I have a couple of cards to show you this evening that I did for two seperate challenges. The first is at Nina B's Crafting in Croatia where she has posted a card as our inspiration. I created a flower to put on this card and I found a tutorial for it at Julie's blog where she did a tutorial on this. It was lots of fun to make and so easy. Please check her site if you are interested in making one of these. I used some shabby chic dp which I am not sure of the maker and mounted it on SU pretty in pink. The leaves are stamped, colored with markers and cut out from a set by SU called Natural Beauty and the sentiment is from the set called Friends by Gina K designs. For accesories I used SU purely pomegranate ribbon, punches from SU and a brad from Making Memories.
I love this card and am very pleased with the way it came together.
Next I have found another challenge site that I want to try this week and it is Play Date Cafe. It is a color splash challenge using black, white and a splash of orange. I found these notebooks at a local craft store and decided to decorate it for this challenge and use it to jot down ideas for cards and projects. I love the way it turned out. I used my large classic round nesties and then stamped the top one with images from SU's Botanicals. My quote is a clear epoxy mounted over only orange cardstock and the flower image is also colored with only orange. I then used black and white ribbon scraps knotted to decorate my binder.
The last thing is a tag that I created for the challenge at Kard Krazy.
Using K&Co's Journey dp and SU Always Artichoke and Very Vanilla I pieced the paper with an embossed image. The butterfly and quote are form Butterfly Moments by Fourishes.
Thanks for stopping by and taking a look at my creations. Have a Blessed and safe Sunday.

My second post for today but I just finished this week's challenge at The Color Throwdown and wanted to get it up for you to see. I used the gray as my base and after embossing the bird folder I layered it on so saffron and then stamped the leaves and stem from SU Best Blossoms with going gray and topped the stem with a sticker from ATD. I pierced the upper corner and then added my sentiment. The inside is layered with so saffron and the sentiment is from SU Heard from the Heart.
Thank you to Nina B.
Hello everyone!
I wanted to show you a card that I created in honor of Nina Brackett. I won the Stampin' Up stamp set Country Morning from her a week or so ago when she had a challenge going on her blog Crafting in Croatia. I received it today and wanted to ink it up right away. This card was made using Gina K chocolate brown cardstock along with SU so safron and ginger blossom dp. I colored the images using SU markers after stamping them in Versafine Vintage Sepia on 140 watercolor paper. The sentiment is from Gina's set Elegant Flowers and is layered on Labels 4 nesties. I also created this for Gina's Inspire 19 challenge on StampTV (see link above) which was to create a card to make someone smile. I hope if Nina's sees this she will smile and know how much I appreciate the blog candy.

Challenge Time
I have tried to get several projects completed today as I will not have any time tomorrow to work in my stamp room.
The first one is for StampTV and their Blast from the Past challenge this week to use glitter on your card. These challenges are always fun and a lot of them I had never tried so it gives me a chance to learn a new technique some weeks. This card uses cardstock and designer paper from Gina's release last month. I paper pieced the dress with dp and then brushed with glue and SU dazzling diamonds. This set was designed by Rupa Shevde and is called Retro Boutique.
This next one is also for StampTV and the Anything but a Card which is posted each Tuesday. This week we were to make a decorative soap band and I decided to use The Perfectly Polished set from Gina K and to make a full gift for a friend that is having a birthday soon. The ribbon is from Gina's Spring Mix the StampTV kit and SU. I used her cardstock which is lucious...in wine with everything and innocent pink and after stamping the images on the Labels 4 I colored them with my SU markers.
I was on Nina's blog today Crafting in Croatia and I found a couple of new challenges to try. The first is at The Shabby Tea Room and the challenge is to take inspiration from a picture of an antique quilt. I love the shabby vintage look even though I don't feel that I am all that good at it. I used K&Co's designer paper in Ancestry.com to start my layers and then stamped several images from two Stampin' Up sets-Antique Collectibles and Botanicals. I also embossed the flower with copper embossing powder. The ribbon is chocolate chip satin and I also sponged the edges and several places with Versafine Vintage Sepia.
The second site is, Card Patterns Sketch 59 and it is a sketch challenge. I used a set from Stampin' Up and old olive for the base. The dp and ribbon is from Martha Stewart. I like how this turned out. I has a CAS look to it.
Well that is it for today but check back soon and I hope to have more things to show you. If you are looking at my site I would love for you to leave a comment for me.
Have a wonderful rest of your week.
StampTV Monday Color Challenge
I have finished my card for this week's color challenge at STV. Tina is coming up with some great color challenges that have me thinking hard and if you know me that is difficult for me to do. I bought the Autumn Beauty set from Gina K and have used several of the images but had yet to stamp the scarecrow. I decided to get a really long head start on my Autumn cards (my favorite time of year) when I saw the colors together and they spoke to me of late summer and early fall.
I used GKD's Sweet Corn and Rocket Red cardstock along with SU Brillent Blue. I cut out the largest of the Labels 4 from my nestibilities set and laid out the scene. I then colored it using my SU markers. The ribbon is from American Crafts.
I have a couple of things to make today and hope to be back to post them later today.
Hope you have a great Wednesday....halfway throught the week. Yeah!!

Clearly Inspired Challenge #11
This card is for the color challenge at Clearly iStamp featuring the colors Lime Juice, Cherry Go Round and Bee Pollen. Unfortunately I do not have any of her stamps,Yet! NO Problem....she says just use the closest thing you have to her color palette and any stamps and play along. I used Whisper White, Black, So Safron and some 6x6 designer paper from Stampin' Up. The stamp is from the SU set Send a Celebration. I used the colors Real Red, So Safron, Green Galore, Going Gray and Versamark to color the images and embossed the sentiment with black embossing powder. I also highlighted the candles with a gel pen by Sakura-Clear Star.
This is my first challenge at this site but definitely not my last. If you have time, come join the fun.

Welcome to the week...
Good Monday morning!
I need to get started with my "chores" this morning but thought I would put in a quick post. This is a picture of tulips in my flower bed that the deer would normally have eaten by now. I love tulips and evidently deer do also.
I found this book Bury Me in the Library by Patrick Lewis and it is so sweet. I loved the colors and the mouse of course. It inspired me to create this card. I used dp from K&Co called Ancestry.com which I pierced the quilted pattern. I used my SU markers to color the mouse image which is from the new Spring Mix set by Gina K.
Thanks for looking and have a blessed start to your week. Now to work.

Another post for StampTV Illustrator
The inspiration for this set is a book The Flower Hunter by author Deborah Kogan Ray.
I love all the flowers on the front. The card uses SU Berry Bliss dp and Gina's white and chocolate chip cardstock. I stamped images from her Spring Mix StampTV kit and pierced the chocolate chip layer under the oval nestie. I also made a notebook using some of the berry bliss paper and punched several flowers and layered together. The sentiment on the book is also from the spring mix set.
StampTV Illustrator Challenge
Happy Sunday!
I created this card for the April illustrator challenge on StampTV which is to use a children's book for inspiration. I used the book shown above Butterfly House by Eve Bunting. It tells the story of a little girl and her grandfather that finds a caterpillar and creates a house of colored flowers and twigs for it to live in until it becomes a butterfly. I used Melanie's set A Beautiful Life to create my card. The dp is from K&Co and I love the embossed paper. I used pop dots to layer extra colored tulips and the butterflies.
Blessings to all and have a wonderful week.
